Audi A5 Sportback Video

After yesterday German manufacturer Audi released the full details of the hird addition to the A5 range, today they came back on the story and present the living, "breathing" car. Unfortunately, aside from seeing the car where it belongs, on the road, don't expect to get thrilled about it. It does however brings you closer to the Sportback, for a quick peak on the inside and a looong look at its Sportback... back.

The A5 Sportback will be offered with a choice of no less than six engines (three TDI and three FSI), with three to arrive at the launch of the car and the other to be added by the middle of next year.

The largest of the TDI engines is the 3.0l V6 TDI, producing 240 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It takes it 6.1 seconds to reach 60 and keeps on accelerating until it reaches its top speed of 247 km/h (153.48 mph).

The strongest gasoline engine offered by Audi for the A5 Sportback is the 3.2l V6 FSI, which develops 265 hp and 330 Nm of torque. It is paired with a S tronic and quattro all-wheel drive and goes from a standstill to sixty in 6.6 seconds. Top speed stands at 250 km/h (155.34 mph).

As for prices, the entry level version of the A5 Sportback, the 2.0l TFSI 180 hp will be priced in Germany at 33,650 euro, with a cheaper entry level to arrive next year.

"Audi did not design the A5 Sportback as a niche model, but expects solid volumes – a realistic outlook considering the complete package of strong qualities and the very competitive prices," said the company.
