If you're into making OEM-style mods to your car, you may have realized that most of the parts on eBay and whatnot come from China. Some are bad, some are good, and we are in no way endorsing this setup. But it's so out there that it needed to be shared.
The number and quality of your screens often dictate if your vehicle is seen as luxury or not. The number of pixels in modern Mercedes or Audi models often rivals laptops. The Audi TT is the only one that has no infotainment on the dashboard. But what if you wanted to go the opposite way? What if you wanted even more screens?

The video below shows a narrow display in front of the passenger. This immediately makes you think of Ferraris. However, it's been fitted to a humble Audi, which is most likely the A4. The YouTube description says it also works with the A5, S4, S5, and Q7. Obviously, these are the current models, but without the facelift, if one exists.

That small LCD shows revs, gears, speed and other information, which means it's hooked up to the Audi computers. Supposedly, it's a plug-and-play setup, though you'll still have to remove the glovebox to do the plugging in the first place. We also can't imagine Audi has some leftover connectors back there.

"But what if I'm driving my mother-in-law to the airport and I don't want her to see the speed?" No problem, the little button on the right lets you toggle between modes, one of which is a clock.

Again, we're not saying you should do this to your car. If you don't speak Chinese, it's probably going to be impossible to read the instructions for this thing. And don't forget the menus aren't in English plus the local models may differ from the one you have.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
