Audi Australia has launched the five-door version of the A1 for the starting price of $26,500 for the base model offered with a 1.2-liter TFSI with 90 PS and 160 Nm of torque.
The manual version offers an impressive 3.8 l/100km fuel consumption, and if you want more power you can always go for the 1.4 TFSI, offered with up to 185 PS and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7 seconds.
“The A1 has introduced an entirely new group of customers to the Audi brand, and we’re currently in the lead in the segment after 18 months of sales. The progressive new Sportback variant is expected to find favour with Australian buyers thanks to the versatility of easy access to the rear seats as an additional feature of a great compact premium vehicle,” Mr Hagen said. “The Audi A1 range represents important volume potential for Audi in Australia.”
There are two trim levels for the A1 Sportback - Attraction and Ambition. Both feature a 6.5-inch folding screen, Bluetooth interface and music streaming capabilities, cruise control, Concert radio with 8 speakers, Driver Information System, dynamic suspension, a light and rain sensor and a multi-function leather sports steering wheel.
