Audi A1 Driven by Celebrities in the UK

Audi has held a special A1 event in the UK, as the automotive producer has introduced the Audi A1 Drive Away, a special journey across London that market the road debut of the vehicle. The event included a number of top film and television celebrities.

Audi invited actors Dominic Cooper, Gemma Arterton, Naomie Harris, Toby Kebbell, Keeley Hawes, Nat Parker and Colin Salmon to be part of the vehicle's launch party, an event that was attended by 450 people. The special guests drove from London's Battersea Power Station to mark the first appearance of the model on UK tarmac.

The star-packed adventure started its journey on Saturday, November 13 at 11:30 am and included some of the city's top landmarks, such as the I6 building, Lambeth Palace, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Marble Arch.

The list of celebrities that got behind the wheel of the A1 also included some of the UK's top names from the worlds of business, sport, music and media: model David Gandy, The Feeling’s front man Dan Gillespie-Sells, TV presenter and England Rugby star Matt Dawson, Internet entrepreneur Tom Hadfield, T4 presenter Rick Edwards and singer Lemar.

"The A1 range is the most efficient in the Audi model portfolio, with such low CO2 emissions that all models from UK launch are exempt from road tax in the first year. The Diesel A1 can deliver top fuel economy of 70.6 miles per gallon.

" Audi stated in a press statement.
