If Atom Bomb Motorcycles were to choose one of their machines to show how good they area at bringing "dead" motorcycles back to life, Nothin' Fancy 2 would probably be be of the first choices.
Nothin' Fancy 2 is in fact an 1967 TR6R Triumph, known by many as the TR6R Trophy. However, this machine retains only minute parts from the original one.
By the time Atom Bomb got their hands on the motorcycle, the original TR6R had already been "modified". The quotation marks belong to Atom themselves, a polite way to say that the bike was almost fubar, with the steering head and the downtube being the only salvageable parts.
The engine was in no better condition after being disassembles, rebuilt and then almost totaled. Atom Bomb took things kindly and started rebuilding everything, one piece at a time, the rigid frame, the engine, which was also polished, had its cylinders painted and received a Joe hunt magneto, the seat and all.
A custom tank was installed and new bars replaced the staock ones. The exhaust was also remade and the new one is truly luxurious, with its brass-golden shine and its supple scrambler-like left-side stacked open-tube exhaust.
Harking back to another era in motorcycle making, Atom Bomb's Nothin' Fancy 2 is a retro bike which was dead and made it back to life and greater glory.
