Remember that NASA astronaut to broadcast the world’s first Twitter Vine with a 6-second never-setting sun time-lapse? Well, Ride Wiseman recently went into a social media spree posting several images and clips that show how amazingly beautiful storms and thunders are seen from outer space.
The last picture the astronaut posted on his Twitter Account is an stunning image of Hurricane Arthur, which he just captured while flying aboard the International Space Station. North Carolina just dodged a bullet after Arthur accelerated its rapid trek north, the U.S. National Weather Service said, and was leaving land behind as the sun rose. However, the storm managed to clatter and rumble a lot of homes, when it came ashore with 100-mph winds.

The first hurricane of the Atlantic season, was still pretty powerful and managed to force thousands of vacationers to suspend their 4th July holiday plans amid evacuation orders. According to official figures, Arthur was about 35 miles (55 km) south of Cape Fear, North Carolina. Moving at 13 mph (20km/h) the center of the storm shifted slightly west on Thursday afternoon.

As destructive as a hurricane sometimes can get, seen from outer space it just look astonishing. And having Wiseman to keep us updated with the great footage makes it possible for the entire planet to watch and learn nature’s incredible power especially when confronted with the extreme.

We already wrote about world’s first Vine from outer space, also made by Wiseman, but know his Twitter Account turned into a news feed type of service, which is even better. Enjoy!
