Here's something we need expected: The Vantage is a sportscar from the old guard, a bit like the Lotus Elise. It's small and beautiful, yet that's not the full range of its skills. A new V12 model was shown last month and now Aston brought the full details. According to them, the V12 Vantage S is the fastest car they make with the exception of the One-77.
Thanks to an updated V12 engine, the S puts out 573 PS (565 bhp) and 620 Nm of torque. Because the chassis is smaller, this allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, faster than the Vanquish. For those European metric fans, 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.9 seconds.

Annoyingly, the V12 Vantage S is also much cheaper than the all-carbon Vanquish at just £138,000 RRP in UK. OK, that's still a lot of money, but it's sort of Porsche 911 Turbo territory.

Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez said: “The new V12 Vantage S brings our winning GT3 race formula to the road. It’s a car for those customers who want superior sporting performance in a ‘gentleman’s suit’. It’s the most pure, yet understated, driving machine we can imagine today.”
