Aston Martin’s V12 Vantage and DBS Carbon Black Editions

Aston Martin has revealed special Carbon Black editions of its V12 Vantage and DBS. The most important feature of these special editions is obviously the bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint, hand-applied and rigorously checked over a period of 50 hours for each car. Ten spoke, gloss black detailed, diamond cut alloy rims are fitted to both cars in order to maintain the non-color theme.

To match the new wheels, the V12 Vantage now has a carbon fiber side strake, mounted on a black mesh grille. Other changes include a bright finished front grille and front parking sensors (normally an option).

Both cars’ interiors are finished in Obsidian Black leather seats with hand made silver stitching. Carbon fibre and Kevlar lightweight seats shed 17 kilograms of the car’s weight (it’s like not having your 5-year-old riding with you). To complete the interior, there’s a piano black fascia trim that is also used for the centre stack and centre console.

When it comes to ICE (in car entertainment) the two cars part ways: the DBS is delivered with a Bang & Olufsen Beosound audio system, while the V12 Vantage comes in standard with the 700W Aston Martin Premium Audio System. We would never turn on any of them as we consider that as being highly disrespectful to Aston’s hand crafted engine.

European and UK customers who order a Carbon Black Edition V12 Vantage will also be able to attend Aston Martin’s performance driving course free of charge.

Although the numbers have not yet been confirmed, prices for both models are expected to rise by about 5%, in comparison to the standard models. This translates to a figure of £141,750 for the V12 Vantage and £166,995 for the DBS.

Judging by the amount of information we have received from Aston Martin in the last period (you can check the related news below) it looks like the Brits are on fire this winter.
