Aston Martin Vantage Project Kro

The Aston Martin Vantage, is by our account one of the least celebrated cars out there. It might have its flaws, but it’s also an impressive car in terms of dynamics, and it’s also filled with pantomime and the sound of eight piston in glorious musical harmony.

In 2008, the Vantage received technical updates included a new 4.7L V8 petrol engine that replaces the old 4.3L V8, updated transmission and suspension. Power is now 426 horsepower, and yes, it is faster than an M3 on a track.

Since this isn’t a Honda Civic, tuning the V8 Vantage is a tricky business, but SR Auto pulled it off with “Project Kro”, featuring some feather-light PUR 8IGHT 21-inch wheels and panted brakes that make the car stand out from afar.

“The five spoke design and Project Kro go hand in hand so effortlessly, it was clear that we shouldn’t mess with a good thing. Instead, we have maintained that classic look with a modern twist. The wheels you see below are hail from PUR Wheels 2012 collection, and is the eighth design in their extensive line up. With a wide variety of five spoke designs on the market, we selected this design based on two factors: weight and strength. The wheels itself weigh in at 23lbs each and feature a forged mono block design,” SR Auto says.
