Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430: Racing Flavor in Geneva

Aston Martin is expanding its range of racing-flavoured road-going models at this year’s edition of the Geneva Motor Show. The carmaker is bringing us its latest N series model, the V8 Vantage N430. This is offered in both Coupe and Roadster incarnation.

The inspiration here comes from the GT4 racing class, which means the story starts with a 20 kg (44 lbs) diet. The weight loss comes thanks to the use of elements such as ten-spoke forged alloy wheels or Kevlar racing seats, as well as a suite of carbon fiber goodies.

The list of special exterior features includes black front grille, headlamp bezels, mesh grilles, side window trim and textured tailpipe finishers, as well as clear taillights with black surrounds.

You can have your Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 in various motorsport-inspired liveries, as well as order club sports graphics for it.

Climbing aboard, we find quite a lot of bespoke elements such as machined carbon sill plaques, N430 logos on the seats, black magnesium paddle-shifts or carbon fibre gearshift surround, carbon fiber instrument panel, black anodised rotaries, a leather steering wheel with contrasting on-centre stitch feature (or Alcantara with matching stitch), seat and door trim in technical PlissèAlcantara, indented leather on Roadster models and special seat trim patterns.

Under the bonnet, the V8 Vantage N430 receives the V8 Vantage S’ 4.7-liter unit, which means the driver can play with 436 HP arriving at 7,300 rpm. The engine gets a sports exhaust that allows it to display it full roar. A six-speed manual is standard, while the list of options includes a seven-speed Sportshift transmission.

Nonetheless, the aim here was to give the car a sharper overall fell. Thus, Aston Martin engineers installed a more capable braking system, one that could face the challenges introduced by prolonged spirited driving.

The UK Recommended Retail Price for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 sits at GBP89,995 (EUR109,000 or $150,000 at the current exchange rates).

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 is just one of the ways in which the British marque is celebrating its 101st anniversary this year. Nevertheless, we need to look no further than Geneva’s floor for the next example, as Aston has also brought the DB9 Carbon Editions to the Swiss event.
