Another automotive feud was settled in court; this time after Aston Martin sued Henrik Fisker for his bespoke Thunderbolt prototype.
They might have lost the battle for the GT3 name with Porsche, but when it comes to their own models, Aston Martin are not giving up without a fight.

That is, without an army of lawyer that are doing the war thing in court. Last month, the British carmaker claimed that Martin Fisker used the Aston Martin Vanquish without the company's permission to create the Thunderbolt prototype.

Furthermore, Aston Martin officials were quick to call Fisker a fraud and issued a fiery response criticizing their former design director's "bad-faith intent to free-ride off the tremendous goodwill associated with the famous Aston Martin mark, wings logo, side vent mark and Vanquish mark.

It all looks like the brand's lawyers took care of the matter, and the two parties managed to fall into an agreement of some sort. However, if the Thunderbolt concept got you excited, we have news for you: it won't be produced, as this was the only condition Aston Martin were willing to take for dropping the lawsuit.

So, in a nutshell, Henrik Fisker decided not to go ahead with the "Project Thunderbolt" while Aston Martin won't go any further with legal proceedings.

On March 26, 2015, Aston Martin filed a lawsuit against Henrik Fisker and other parties alleging various infringements by "Project Thunderbolt" of Aston Martin's intellectual property rights.

Luckily, the conflict was quickly extinguished after the two parties were able to reach an agreement by "swiftly and amicably resolve their differences".
