Aston Martin Rapide Pricing in the UK

Porsche Panamera might have been the first four-door supercar on the market, but car enthusiasts are expecting many others, as a new market for such niche products was discovered a while ago.

It seems that the next one on the market will be the Aston Martin Rapide, which at this moment is going through its final engineering stage and through the testing phase. The Rapide will be launched in the first quarter of 2010, so Aston Martin decided to announce the car’s pricing for the United Kingdom.

Aston Martin’s first production four door car will have a starting price of £139,950 in the UK. As you would expect, such a price tag means that the car will feature a lot of premium standard equipment like Bang & Olufsen Beosound audio system made specifically for the Rapide model, heated memory seats, dual cast brakes and Adaptive Damping System.

Aston Martin Rapide will be hand-built at the Aston Martin Rapide Plant in Graz, Austria. A new 17,000 m2 building has been designed for this process, as such a facility needs to permit the use of modern technology, advanced manufacturing processes and hand-built craftsmanship under the same roof. Each car needs about 220 man hours to complete.

Aston Martin plans to produce about 2,000 Rapide in its first year. The British car manufacturer hopes that this model will attract new customers to the brand due to its different approach: this supercar has boot of 317 litres with seats up, and 886 litres with seats down. You can order your own Rapide through the Aston Martin dealerships around the world.
