Aston Martin Rapide Official Photos

Details regarding Aston Martin Rapide have always been fairly scarce and even if several media reports issued a number of rumors, only a little is known at this point. Furthermore, there were no official photos showing the production model, except for the Rapid concept images following the 2006 North American International Auto Show.

However, taking into account that it was only showcased in the form of a concept model, everybody was looking to get a glimpse into the design of the production version. Well, the folks over at Carscoop claim these CGIs show exactly the model expected to reach the market but, once again, no technical details are provided.

As you can see for yourself, the car looks indeed quite appealing and, as far as we're concerned, it might be a serious competitor for Masserati Quattroporte and CLS Klasse as it is supposed to.

In case these are the real photos with the production model, the car looks pretty similar with the concept model, with only a few slight modification over the front fascia and rear bumper. The aforementioned source says the car will likely be powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine expected to develop a maximum power of around 500 hp. Thanks to this high-performance configuration, the new Aston Martin would be capable of sprinting from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, with maximum speed exceeding 250 km/h (155.3 mph).

Although not confirmed, it may seem like Aston Martin intends to roll out the production variant of Rapide at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September, while the first deliveries may occur in early 2010.
