Their name might not say a lot at first, but David Brown Automotive have a plan to change that as they will bring the Speedback GT in the United States.
April 2014 had marked the unveiling of the Speedback GT in London before the Aston Martin-like coupé made its grand debut in Monaco. Exactly one year after, David Brown Automotive announces they'll bring the Speedback GT in the United States with $753,000 sticker.

And no, there's no typo in that figure, but since the car is designed, engineered and hand-crafted in Britain, such a price tag could have been easily predicted.

David Brown Automotive also promises their offspring shows "exceptional performance and handling". We'd rather put that to the test before adding any comments, but we'll also say there's a 5.0-liter V8 roaring under the hood, waiting to release its 517 HP and 461 lb-ft (625 Nm).

The underpinnings of the car come from the Jaguar XKR, but the vintage-flavored exterior is an Aston Martin DB5 trademark that we're sure fans have already spotted. You shouldn't be fooled by the retro styling dominating the exterior, as the cabin will delight the eye with wood trim and high-quality leather.

The car also comes with a fold-down picnic seat to impress the ladies. You now, just in case the top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) and the 0-60 mph (96 km/h) sprint attainable in 4.6 seconds fail to produce goosebumps.

David Brown Automotive will take the wraps off the car on August 10, during an exclusive event that will take place at the Quail Motorsports Gathering in California.
