As all the eyes of the automotive journalists and car-craving people are slowly focusing in on Geneva, where Europe's first auto show of the year will kick off next week, we thought to give you a little preview of something that you will not see at the event: the Aston Martin BDX concept. As you must have guessed by now, the concept depicted in these CGIs is not Aston Martin sanctioned, but the brain child of Polish industrial design students Norbert Adamowicz and Lukasz Kadula. Without departing too much from the official design lines of the British auto maker (as we have seen happening in other concept studies), the two designers created a two-seater coupe, with a mid-mounted engine in the purest Aston style. Even the name chosen by the two students point to what we will possibly see in the not-so-distant future of the auto maker. The DBX codename has been associated with an official Aston Martin car since 2007, when the world first heard of the plans Aston had to create a car worthy to take on the McLaren SLR or Bugatti Veyron (we know that car today as the One-77). As for the real Aston Martin, it is getting ready to introduce a new model at the Geneva show, the Virage. Powered by a 5,935cc V12 engine, the model develops 490 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 570 Nm (420 lb.ft) at 5,750 rpm. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
