A UK-based company called Evanta Motor Company has build an amazing 1:1 true scale model kit of the Aston Martin DBR1 that Carrol Shelby and Roy Salvadori piloted to victory at le Mans in 1959. This has to be the best way in which they could have payed tribute to the legendary gentleman racers.
You could probably call this a sculpture, or a work of art, because the bits of the car are all placed on a giant sprue, like you would get on any model kit. This frame measures a staggering 6.35m wide and 3.30m high and features individually labeled components. It all makes you want to reach for your cutters and glue to put it all together. But it would be such a shame.

On the frame, you will also find the full body shel of the race car spit in two halves, a nose, hood four 16-inch Aston Martin wire wheels with Dunlop race tyres, “Mota Lita” 15-inch wood-rimmed steering wheel, a dash and a couple of seats. To top it all of, there’s a display case with a genuine Aston Martin cap signed by both drivers.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
