Aston Martin’s stunning CC100 Concept vehicle, which was built to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, has found its owner. Developed as a tribute to the DBR1 Le Mans-winning race car, the first CC100 was bought by a collector at during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this month for about £500,000 (€580,600 / $770,250 at current exchange rates).
We said the “first CC100” because Aston Martin will build a second one and deliver it to another very happy customer later this year. Little is known about this transaction, but Autocar reports the second CC100 won’t reside in a collection, but it will be driven on public roads.
Described as “the epitome of everything that is great about Aston Martin”, the CC100 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine mated to a sequential gearbox. Sporting a lightweight body made of carbon fiber, the speedster can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standing start in four seconds and a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
