Remember when Kim Kardashian proved that her rearmost lady part can break the Internet? Nissan replied to the socialite’s provocative feat with a tongue-in-cheek “ours is bigger,” referring to the ass of the GT-R Nismo, but Aston Martin dismantled the big booty competition with the all-new Vulcan.
Before we begin unraveling what makes this Aston Martin a Vulcan, CHECK OUT THAT HUMONGOUS REAR WING! I swear I’ve seen smaller tables at family restaurants, so what the actual hell possessed the brand to manufacture this huge carbon fiber rear wing? It’s simple - thank God for drag and downforce.
By definition, the 2015 Aston Martin Vulcan is a track-only machine, not a road-going car. In addition to this, only 24 examples of the breed will be made for those eccentric men that don’t fancy the similarly track-only LaFerrari FXX K or McLaren P1 GTR. Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer declared that the Vulcan “sets a whole new standard in the ultra-high luxury supercar class.” Come on, Andy, don’t be shy! This is a full-on hypercar which doesn’t do luxury. You can’t describe a cabin entirely made out of carbon fiber as a luxurious place to spend time in. Nevertheless, our hats go off to you, Aston Martin, because the Vulcan bruiser is more than meets the eye.
Ladies and gentlemen, what you can admire in the photo gallery below is, first and foremost, a glimpse of Aston’s upcoming design language, which will be used for the new-gen GT models and the sportier Vantage family. We aren’t that impressed by the slim and weird-looking LED headlights (which remind us of Bond’s DB10), but everything else is just right for the future of Aston Martin. Minus that steering wheel.
