Aston Martin AM310 Vanquish at the ‘Ring

Automakers routinely reveal a car without it actually being 100% ready for customers, and that’s because the time it they get to come up with a new design is shorter and shorter. It used to take them decades to put something on the road, but now within a year and a bit, you have something to grab headlines.
Even tough the new Aston Martin Vanquish has been revealed, even making a guest appearance at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it’s still undergoing testing at the Nurburgring track in Germany.

Both a full-boddied pre-production test vehicle and a camouflaged Vanquish were spotted testing. The actual production version should actually be ready for customer deliveries in Winter 2012.

The replacement for the DB9 is built on a hollow-cast aluminum chassis and a carbon fiber body. This makes the car 55 kg or 120 lbs lighter, but also 25 percent stiffer.

Powering the car is a 6-liter V12 engine that delivers 565bhp (573 PS), which is 55 hp more than the DBS. Zero to 100 km/h is dealt with in 4.1 seconds and the car reach a top speed of 295km/h (183mph).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
