2021 is slowly but surely becoming an exciting year for racing games fans. In addition to the highly-anticipated Gran Turismo 7, a new Forza DLC, and plenty of titles coming from EA and Codemasters, here’s something for Assetto Corsa players too.
First and foremost, let’s see the official announcement, and then try to decipher the few words shared by the Assetto Corsa team to figure out what exactly we’re supposed to be getting.

The new release comes in the form of a DLC as the British GT Pack, and according to a tweet (also embedded below), the launch is projected to take place on February 10th for PCs. Consoles are projected to receive the same update later this year, with more specifics on the ETA to be shared closer to the launch date.

Officially, the new British GT Pack DLC will include three iconic circuits, over 40 new liveries and 70 drivers, and a dedicated Championship season. Now let’s see what everything announced here actually means.

The three circuits Assetto Corsa is supposed to get are most likely Donington Park, Oulton Park, and Snetterton. This is because the other three circuits in the British GT Championship are already available in the game, namely Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps, and Brands Hatch.

When it comes to the liveries and the drivers supposed to be part of the DLC, the only tidbits we’re getting are actually included in the screenshots the team shared with the Oulton Park circuit.

By the looks of things, we’ll be getting GT3 and GT4 cars, including the #4 and #5 Tolman Motorsports McLaren 570S GT4.

Needless to say, this is quite an important release for Assetto Corsa players out there, and expect full details to be shared next week, including the pricing of the new DLC. Of course, you’ll be able to download it from Steam once the launch is officially announced.
