ATGATT is a no-no for city rides during the summer and we believe there are very few riders who willingly dress their leathers for casual cross-tow rides in a hot summer's day.
However, riding while wearing only shorts and a t-shirt means that skin vs asphalt will be a losing game in case of a crash, therefore some extra care is advised. Unfortunately, luck runs out sometimes, and a casual ride goes wrong.. and then riders usually wish they wore better gear.
This video shows a rather textbook crash, with a rider who passes a car, unaware of what's happening in front of it. Now, to be honest, the car driver has a big part of the blame, too: road rules specify that a car should be as close to the center of the road prior to steering left at a junction.
The driver was in no way obeying this elementary recommendation: should he have positioned correctly on the road, maybe the rider would have seen the car in time to brake and avoid the wipeout.
