An Instagram model who moonlights as a babysitter was hit by a car driven by Ashton Kutcher, and believe it or not, but he has no intention of suing for damages.
Leo Marenghi tells People Magazine he’s happy with the fact Ashton agreed to pose for pictures with him. Suing him for smashing into him with his black Tesla would be “trashy,” the young model explains.
Leo says he was on his way to pick up the kids he’s babysitting from school. He was driving on his scooter, when a black Tesla pulled out of Sunset Bronson Studios and hit him, sending him to the ground. He wasn’t badly hurt: he just scraped his knee and drew some blood, as photos he posted to his Instagram confirm.
He was more shocked to see that the driver responsible for it was Kutcher.
“I was on the floor and when I got up he was getting out of his car,” he explains for the celebrity publication. “He was really nice about it and acted concerned. He asked me if I was okay and I said, ‘Yeah, I’m fine. Can I get a picture with you?'”
Kutcher was just as shocked to hear that all the guy wanted was a photo, so he made sure he posed for more. After all, celebrities know they’re easy targets when it comes to accidents, even minor ones. Ashton should breathe easy, though.
“I don’t intend to go after him [legally]. I feel like it was kind of my fault because I was on a scooter and it was hard to see me,” Marenghi explains. “I just feel like that would be trashy.”
In addition to the photos that prove his encounter, Leo got another thing from Kutcher: media coverage. For a guy who’s been trying to get off a modeling career on social media, that’s worth more than the amount he would probably get with a lawsuit.
