Back in July, we reported that German sports car producer Artega filed for insolvency and it is now time to get back on the topic, unfortunately with even worse news - Artega has been bought by Paragorn AG, an automotive electronic solution provider and production has been axed.
"On September 30, 2012, production of the Artega GT sports car was discontinued. We would like to thank you for your support and the understanding you have expressed to our company," the carmaker’s website tell us.

The new owner doesn’t plan to restart production, but it will continue to provide spare parts and serive for Artega vehicles. Paragorn acquired Artega not to revive it, but for its assets, such as the buildings and the trained staff, which will be used for Paragorn’s Electromobility and Body-Kinematics arms.

"As a result of acquiring all the assets of Artega Automobil GmbH & Co. KG on October 1, 2012, paragon gained additional staff and, above all, extra space,” Paragorn said.
