Arnold Schwarzenegger Visits Audi Booth at LA Show

Everybody is getting excited over all-electric vehicles, as right now it seems like the safe, logical and environmentally safe alternative to internal combustion vehicles. In this context, various politicians show their support to the growing industry as such an attitude can do wonders for your political image.

The Los Angeles Auto Show has an important display of electric vehicles, so California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to pay a visit to the Audi booth where the Audi e-tron EV concept study gets a lot of attention. Of course, Schwarzenegger showed his support for this idea and was willing to learn more about the model.

The Terminator is known as a huge car fan, so Audi official Peter Schwarzenauer explained the US Governor how the e-tron works. The car uses four electric engines to run, which are powered by a lithium ion battery back. Mr Schwarzenegger got behind the wheel of Audi’s concept, but no test drive took place.

“It was a great pleasure meeting with Governor Schwarzenegger and I’m thrilled that he shares our excitement about the e-tron,” said Peter Schwarzenbauer, AUDI AG board member in charge of global sales and marketing. “We believe the e-tron will become a lasting icon of electronic vehicle design so it’s great fun to share it with a green design supporter like Governor Schwarzenegger in these early stages.”

Apart from the rather powerful electric engines, the Audi e-tron benefits from a great design, as the car resembles the German’s R8 supercar.
