Even though he’s among the celebrities that always fought for a cleaner environment Arnold Schwarzenegger is all about powerful cars and just loves driving them on the streets of L.A. The Hollywood star was recently seen driving his silver Bugatti Veyron Gran Sport Vitesse in Santa Monica, California.
In case you heaven’t heard, rumors are that the Expendables star and his long-time wife Maria Shriver will soon separate, and this is because she found out about Arnold having an affair. On the other hand, reports are now surfacing that Schwarzenegger soon to be ex-wife cheated on him long before she found out about his affair.
It might look a bit far fetched, but ever since this happened the famous actor is going back to the hot sportscars whenever it’s time to hit the road. First he put his Unimog on sale and now we see him taking the Bugatti to work.
To be honest with you guys, Arnie seems to be more of a Hummer driver than the eccentric 1,200 horsepower beast type. And let us recap for a second.
Last time paparazzi caught him on camera, the Terminator star was driving his old school H1. It’s the same classic army 4x4 he converted to burn hydrogen. He does own several other big wheels, like an old school Military Jeep, but also a couple of them fast ones, including two Ferraris.
Point is, none of this fellow’s rides are green cars. As to the Bugatti we’re looking at, it's one heck of a consumer. Its W16 engine will run 8 miles per U.S. gallon in the city (29l/100km) and 14 miles per U.S. gallon (17 l/100km) while on the highway. But it really gets “interesting” whenever California’s ex governor feels the need for a bit of adventure and pushes the pedal. The top speed fuel economy is 3 miles per U.S. gallon (78l/100km) or, better put, 1.4 U.S. gallon (5.3 liters) per minute.
On the other hand, when you’re that famous and rich, nothing should stop you from driving a Bugatti.
