Arnold Schwarzenegger Checks Out Toyota I-Road at Paris Motor Show

Whether he stays busy shooting a new Terminator movie or teases people with some political activity, there is definitely no stopping with Arnold Schwarzenegger. As the man who founded the R20 Regions of Climate Action community, the 67-year famous actor recently took a trip to Paris to check out the world’s newest vehicles and to talk about the environment. And while at it, he also checked out Toyota’s solution to green urban transportation, the i-Road.

We all know the Terminator star as one of car enthusiasts that really love the big ones. He owns several off-road rides, including a couple of Hummer cars and what not. But Schwarzenegger is quite the atypical driver, considering he is also an environmental advocate.

As opposed to other fellows in the industry though, California’s ex governor claims people can both drive big cars and keep the planet green. This is why he even adapted one of his Hummers to run on hydrogen and another to run on biofuels. Nonetheless, seeing the seven-time winner of the famous Mr. Olympia body building contest at the wheel of Toyota’s green small car is pretty hilarious.

Besides the motor show, Schwarzenegger also went to Paris for some serious business. The actor was all suited up as he shook hands with French President Francois Hollande before meeting at the Elysee Palace in Paris. Reports claim the Hollywood star also hosted a conference in Paris about protecting the environment and reducing climate change. This man just can't hold still.

As to Toyota’s electric three-wheeler, we did already write about it and about France's plans to go for the i-road system. In fact, Grenoble will be the first city in Europe to adopt Toyota’s i-Road leaning microcar as part of a car-sharing program similar to the original one in Japan.

Too bad Schwarzenegger is no longer California’s Governor maybe we would’ve seen Hollywood celebrities riding one of those too.
