From an aesthetic point of view, changes on the LCI models were minimal. The headlights are now a bit slimmer and the lower side of the front bumper has been redesigned. The Gran Tourismo, on the other hand, went through a lot more, looking a lot better now than its predecessor.

Most of the improvements came in the engine department and onboard. The iDrive touch system was implemented on the new cars alongside a new diesel unit that is powering the 525d models, that develops 218 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque from a 2-liter unit.

Apart from the 525d Touring model, we could also spot the 184 HP, entry-level 520d, the 245 HP 528i xDrive and the 313 HP 535d Gran Tourismo, all of them in flashy new colors.

The LCI 5 Series starts at $49,500 for the 528i in the US for the Sedan and $60,000 for the Gran Turismo 535i model.
