Arash AF10 to Enter Production in 2010

About one year ago we were reporting on yet unborn new British supercar, dubbed AF10, which was expected to be manufactured under the Arash name. Apparently, the Arash AF10 has been finally confirmed for production, with the manufacturing process set to start sometime in 2010.

The supercar will be produced in a limited run of just 70 units over the next five years, and a smaller AF-8 version is also planned, carmagazine.co.uk reported. The price tag for the AF10, which will be available in a choice of 17 color schemes, has been set at £320,000 (approx. $530,000).

The reason for the spicy cost is the fact that the British supercar is almost entirely made of carbon fiber, from the chassis to the bodywork.

Powered by a mildly tuned 7-liter V8 coming straight out of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the AF10 pumps out 505 horsepower, more than enough to propel the car to a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h). All this by driving with a six-speed Graziano gearbox.

In the future there will also be an AF-10S with a supercharged and intercooled version of the 7.0-litre V8 with 800 horsepower, and of course a four-figure output version is planned, with 1001 horsepower...
