The AF10 will be using a seven liter LS7 V8 engine sourced from American manufacturer GM (found on the Chevrolet Corvette Z06). The unit spits out 550 hp at 6,200 rpm and 475 ft-lb of torque at 4,800 rpm. The engine redlines at 7,000 rpm and comes paired with a 6 speed Graziano GT-ME1 transmission.
Th body of the Arash AF10 is made of a carbon fiber body and panels with a core of aluminum in honeycomb configuration. The body will be manufactured, Arash says, by F1 engineers, who are used to using carbon fiber on top of a honeycomb aluminum core.
As with any car built more for the track than for the road, the AF10 is fitted with lightweight aluminum fuel tanks, steel roll cage and front-rear steel subframes. The vehicle rides on Michelin Pilot tires measuring 265/35Z in front and 335/30Z in the rear, with AP Racing ventilated ceramic disks with eight-piston hiding right under them.
When we last heard of the AF10, rumor was the car will be pried at £320,000 (approx. $530,000). It will be available in a choice of 17 colors. There's no word yet on when production will actually begin, but we expect that moment to come soon enough.
