Helmet manufacturer Arai unveils the design of the new official 2014 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy races helmet.
Following a long-term partnership between Arai and Isle of Man TT, this new lid will be manufactured in a limited run, so getting it can be really hard as time ticks away. The codename of the helmet is RX-7 GP IOMTT ‘14, showing that it is based on the race-ready RX-7 GP model.
Aldo Drudi of Drudi Performance (also working for Rossi) was in charge of styling and the design comprises "the evocative words ‘Ellan Vannin’ (the Manx name for the Isle of Man), the three legged triskelion logo, the map of the famous mountain course and also comes with the official TT logo, identifying authentic products," according to Arai Europe.
The Arai RX-7 GP IOMTT ’14 will reach select dealers in June 2014 and will come with a €1,099 ($1,495) price tag.
