Aprilia is on the rise, or at least so it seems with their commercial offensive on the North American market. However, the racing segment is also faring quite decently, even with the retirement of SBK star Max Biaggi last November, as their two riders show real potential. So here's Aprilia's SuperBike machine, in its 2013 livery.
Though the bike itself does not appear much changed on the outside, it will definitely be much different on the inside, as far as setups are concerned. With Biaggi's long-term involvement with Aprilia, the factory used to cater for his tiniest desires so the SBK machine was pretty much his.
Now, with two riders which have already showed a lot of brawn on the track, things should start anew. Eugene Laverty has really grown into a good rider in Biaggi's shadow and his last season 6th placement promises a lot for the oncoming season, while the French Sylvain Guintoli (7th in 2012 on a Ducati) is also looking forward to a very good 2013.
The bike has been a good one until now, and with the new team we might expect an even better racing season.
