The Aprilia RS4 125 drops the ‘4’ to become the 2017 RS 125 and comes with other improvements too, making for a great small displacement learner supersport bike for the 2017 season.
For starters, the 125 cc single-cylinder four-stroke four-valve liquid-cooled engine is now Euro 4 compliant and also comes with a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations.

Also meeting Euro market requirements are the brakes, which now comes with ABS as standard. Their size and construction remain the same as with the previous model.

According to the press release, “the Aprilia RS 125's new look takes its inspiration from the shapes and colors of its multiple title winning older sister, the protagonist in World SBK, an aggressive and original look that is highlighted by the triple headlight, a trademark of the most victorious bike of recent years. The sleek fairing enhances the exclusive aluminum frame, an entirely racing-inspired refinement that that no competitor can claim.”

However, look closely, and you’ll see the shape of the 2017 Aprilia RS 125 are exactly the same with the previous RS4 125. Nothing really changed except the livery, which, indeed, is inspired from the big superbike.

Everything else stays in place, including the front and rear suspension, clip on handles, rear swingarm, mirrors, windshield and even rims, all being carried over from the old model.

Aprilia hasn’t released detailed specs about the new RS 125, but we expect it to offer the same 16 hp at 10,500 rpm and 11 Nm at 8,500 as before, with all the engine mods being mostly aimed at making the bike Euro4 compliant.

Pricing is another thing Aprilia isn’t telling for now, with more details on the bike having to be released in the near future. So keep your browsers pointed at us for more info as soon as it will be available.
