If you're looking for a racing grade motorcycle, Aprilia announced it will be rolling out special RSV4 packages next year for us mortals. They'll probably cost an arm and a leg, but hey, who's gonna ride a WorldsSBK/MotoGP bike at the end of the day?
Last year, Aprilia Racing launched the Factory Works program to make the same technology developed for the world champion bike available to anyone who wants to compete in top level factory derivative championships. And next year it will start to get even better.
In 2017, this extraordinary project will reach a new peak, introducing an even more powerful version of the RSV4, called the FW-GP, fitted with the V4 with bore taken to 81 mm and pneumatic valve timing, a configuration similar to the one that Aprilia raced officially in the 2015 MotoGP world championship.
Therefore, Aprilia Racing is the first to make all the technology developed in MotoGP available, accompanied by a complete range of exclusive services, before, during and after sale, that aim not only to make this experience truly unique and unrepeatable, but also to allow the customer to take maximum advantage of the RSV4 FW-GP's full potential.
All of the versions available will start with the already mind-blowing 2017 Aprilia RSV4 RR Race Pack, to which more can be added to increase track performance.
The RSV4 R FW-SS TK1 comes with reprogrammed instrumentation, predisposed for lap times if combined with the V4-MP system. It also has optimized and lightened braking system with no ABS, lighter engine, and an Akrapovic exhaust system.
The RSV4 FW-SS TK2 is fitted with a racing electrical system, lithium battery, Aprilia Racing APX2 ECU with fully programmable ignition, special instrumentation and racing modded engine that can generate 204 hp.
Next, comes the RSV4 R-FW SBK, coming with an electronic gearbox that assists you on downshifts, as well as a tuned engine to produce 215 hp.
Last but not least is the RSV4 R FW-GP, which based on the R-FW SBK but comes with an even more powerful engine and other exclusive features. The machine can make 250 hp and you'll get special treatment from Aprilia Racing, including live images during the build, hand delivery by the engineers, branded track leathers and a paddock pass for an entire MotoGP Grand Prix weekend.
