If you’ve ever wondered what a designer from Apple drives, let us tell you that he doesn’t just have a car but more like seven. We’re talking about the Senior Vice President of Design at Apple Inc. Sir Jonathan Paul “Jony” Ive, a man that besides his passion for graphic design he also has a thing for cars.
It seems that from an early age he was attracted to vehicles and actually wanted to study car design, attending London’s Central Saint Martins Art School. By some incredible twist of fate, he ended up working in an environment that managed to revolutionize personal technology.
Still, that didn’t mean he was going to give up on his passion for automobiles and actually spiced up his personal life with some interesting wheels. Thus, we can say he managed to gather up quite the collection, a collection that will make some car enthusiasts pretty jealous.
We’re going to start with small yet very cute car, a vividly orange painted Fiat 500 that Jony nicknamed Mabel. He drove the adorable car to school each day, thus we can imagine the memories attached to this particular Fiat. Moving on, we’ll get to take a look at some luxurious vehicles, a gorgeous“Frogeye” Austin Healy Sprite, an Aston Martin DB9 plus a Vanquish one, a stunning white Bentley Brooklands as well as an all black one.
Yes, we have to say we certainly approve of his tastes as who wouldn’t love a retro classic like the Frogeye and the James Bond-like Aston Martins. Concerning the two Bentley, let’s admit it, one can’t go wrong with black and white. We’re talking about all time classics car and color wise.
The last car is something a bit more large, a Land Rover LR3 Jony bought after falling in love with it when he saw one of his colleagues driving the car. It appears that it was more of a whim and when you’re able to have such whims, it’s definitely something to be applauded.
