We recently posted a video of a very lucky Korean driver, who just managed to get out of the way of a bus with no brakes, by turning onto a side street which was perfectly placed. We talked about how the abstract concept of luck is actually quite important for drivers, and how having a little bit of anticipation skill goes a long way.
This video from Russia is more of the same, and the driver in the car with the dash-mounted camera just manages to avoid getting caught up in a pileup by turning onto a side road just before the other cars crashed into one another. The driver then turns around, and the place where he would have had to stop was taken up by two cars which had rear ended each other.
The video proves our theory about luck and driving. It was really the only way this driver and his car could have escaped the crash completely unscathed.
