We've been seeing a lot of interesting drag race videos with the new M6. Even though most people thought that BMW's new creation is way too big and heavy to win anything, all that we've been seeing so far has been a winning streak for the 6er.
After defeating a Ferrari, a GTR and it's little sibling, the 1M it's time for another fast car to be defeated, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0.

This new contender weighs 1,360 kg, has a 4-liter flat six-cylinder engine with 500 HP and 460 Nm of torque. That means it has 362 HP per tone, whilst the 1,980 kg, 560 HP M6 has a power to weight ratio of 283 HP. It should spell trouble for the Bimmer.

However, in a drag race, the torque is more important than HP, and the M6 has around 343 Nm of torque per tone whilst the 911 goes for about 338 Nm. It's pretty close though.

We also have to take into account the fact that the race is done in the wet, and the skill of the drivers will be paramount. After all, the numbers were written and discussed, the race showed another win for the surprising M6.
