Another Massive Truck Crash in Russia

Trucks carry massive inertia and are very hard to stop, once they are on the move. So, it is thanks to Russian dash-cams that we get to see the kind of traffic accidents that take place there, in order to avoid and prevent them any way we can. This crash, however, couldn’t have been stopped by anything less than a solid concrete wall.
A truck whose driver either fell asleep, in a similar manner to this driver, or ran out of braking power, like this other Russian truck driver, smashes straight through an Opel Insignia and another car which may have been a sedan, but after the crash it was definitely more of a hatchback. A woman was also crossing the street at that very moment, but she was wise enough to look right and then take a few steps back, for safety.

While the reason for the crash is debatable, its severity isn’t, so, luckily, nobody was injured and we learnt another valuable lesson in avoiding being near big rig trucks in traffic, especially down slopes or on narrow and twisty roads.
