As if its less than satisfactory customer reports and other problems were not enough, the Fisker Karma is has been dealt another blow. Fingers are pointed towards it as being the source of a recent fire which did “substantial damage” to a garage with three cars inside (including the Karma) and the adjacent suburban home, in Fort Bend, Texas.
The fire is said to have started around 3 minutes after the Karma was parked inside the garage, with the owner having sensed a burning smell around the same time. The fire started in the garage and affected two other cars parked inside, while destroying the Karma (apart from the battery pack which was apparently intact).

The incident is still under investigation and the Karma is on a short list of likely causes for the fire, along with an electrical panel and some fireworks which were found in the garage.
