The incident took place on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood last week. According to E! Online, Freddy Ferraro, the 32-year-old guy riding the bike (again we say, purple with pink pedals), suffered only minor injuries and refused any medical attention.
Both Hathaway and Shulman were photographed while tending to the cyclist, who was lying on the road beside the car, a black Audi A5. Though paramedics were called to the scene, nobody was taken to the hospital. Steve Whitmore, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, also confirmed the actress was unharmed.
“She was a passenger in a vehicle that was making a right turn in West Hollywood yesterday and that vehicle was not at fault,” Whitmore told Access Hollywood.
"However, according to Whitmore, there is question as to whether the paparazzo caused the crash on purpose. “They bicyclist had plenty of time to stop but did not,” Whitmore added. “They had cameras around their neck.”
Hathaway's acting style has been compared to Judy Garland and Audrey Hepburn and she is a huge fan of Meryl Streep. She was also one of People Magazine's Most Beautiful People 2009 and ranked #9 of People Magazine's Most Beautiful People 2009.
