Andrea Dovizioso and Casey Stoner Together on the Track with... Lamborghini

Ducati's factory rider Andrea Dovizioso and the MotoGP test rider MotoGP Legend Casey Stoner let loose around the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at Imola, in Italy, but they didn't use the specific machines they ride "at work." Instead, the two hopped inside a Lamborghini Huracan provided by the Lamborghini Accademia.

With Lamborghini being owned by Volkswagen Group's subsidiary Audi, just like the motorcycle manufacturer the two work for, seeing them pull such a stunt was not exactly surprising.

It's a common thing for the top motorcycle racers to have a penchant for supercars, too. Even more, some of them, like John Surtees, CBE, went on to become World Champions on both two and four wheels.

Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo is attracted to Ferrari and has even raced one and won at the Abu Dhabi 12 Hours in 2014, while his teammate Valentino Rossi is no stranger to rally cars and also has a streak of victories in the Monza Masters Rally.

Making things even more interesting, Rossi is also expected to make a move in professional driving in the Dakar Rally, the former rider and current Sporting Director Marc Coma hints. We can't tell if Rossi will indeed try his hand at the Dakar Rally, but he would not be the only guy to achieve world fame on two wheels and then go for four.

Former Dakar riders Cyril Despres and multiple-time champion (bikes & cars) Stephane Peterhansel are only two of the biggest names that come to mind now.

Casey Stoner also took his wife Adriana out for a ride in Tuscany aboard a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster recently. This aspect is worth mentioning because Adriana hinted on Twitter that the trip was so pleasant that she was even considering moving back to Europe.

And with Casey Stoner bringing his family (spouse Adriana and 4-year-old daughter Ally) to Europe, maybe the rumors of him making a comeback to MotoGP are not THAT wild, who could tell...

The truth is that riding MotoGP bikes AND having Lamborghini offering you track time with their top cars doesn't sound bad, not bad at all!
