If classical music is for the industry what electric vehicles are for the loud, petrol-powered autos, then the Tesla Model S translates to Andre Rieu’s view on classical and waltz music in cars. OK, maybe that sounds a little confusing. What we’re trying to say is that Elon Musk’s EV  stands out in a similar way to how the Dutch violinist and conductor does. It’s all about being different.
The 65-year-old musician is quite famous, but in case you may not have heard of his work, we’ll take a little detour and tell you about it. Known for creating the waltz-playing Johann Strauss Orchestra, Andre Rieu’s work along the ensemble is rather particular in the sense they have turned classical and waltz music into a worldwide concert touring act.

Up to a point, it’s what you’d call a remake, as in Rieu has a tendency to mix waltzes with popular music, comedy and pathos, thus turning their performances into an actual show. In fact, the Orchestra has performed acts as successful as some of the biggest global pop and rock music acts. We may be car people, but music is the next thing that comes to our interest after that.

Enough of the music though, let’s go back to the red EV in question. Judging by Rieu’s post not only does the musician enjoy his new ride, but he even thanked Elon Musk for “giving us an entirely new vision and form of driving.”

As we said, the 65-year-old violinist is originally from Maastricht, Netherlands. How does that relate to the Tesla Model S? Well, let us remind you that the nation holds the fourth place in the Top 10 countries in the world for Model S sales in 2014 through the end of Q3. In other words, they like them quite a lot in the Low Countries, so it’s no wonder Rieu is also a fan of the EV.
