I am not sure if “extremely lucky to be alive” is powerful enough to describe the unearthly luck this rider had. While being an idiot on wither 2 or 4 wheels usually comes with a very dear price, it looks like this time, the rider got away with a very good scare and hopefully, a lesson learned.
Too bad that this lesson could have cost him his life, at best, and a lifetime in a wheelchair, or in a bed in the worst-case scenario. As if mistaking the public roads for the race track was not bad enough already, this fellow is also a terrible rider, undoubtedly unable to ride hard and keep in his lane at the same time. And judging by the way he crosses onto the other side of the road even through the turns look anything but safe, I’d say he’s not very bright, either.
Far more than injuring himself and giving the Honda driver a really bad day, this crash could have easily involved the guy’s fellow-riders and transform the day’s ride into a real tragedy. I do remember what my grandfather once told me back when I got my license: “Don’t stick with idiots when on the road. Even though you drive well, they’ll get you in trouble with their stupidity. Birds of a feather flock together, you know…”
Now I’m leaving you to wonder how this chap made it unscathed back home…
