Over the most recent years, BMW seemed to develop a true passion for unique headlight design and all sorts of lights in and out of it. Starting back in the late 90s with the innovative Angel Eyes, the Corona Rings evolved with the brand reaching a new level of coolness with the i8, dubbed ‘sub-zero’ by yours truly.
A recent teaser for the M3 and M4 got me wondering if there’s anything else out there in the headlight design area that can even match the BMW supremacy?
Looking over designs from E39 5ers, E60 5ers and today’s M3, M4 and i8, it’s hard to figure some other configuration that can match these babies. The i8, for example, has unique corona rings (in U-shape) housing state of the art, LASER lights. That’s right people, LASER!
Unfortunately, they are still illegal in the US, but I’m expecting things to change in the near future. It would definitely be a shame if the US market would be deprived of such brilliant new lights just because of some stupid laws that make absolutely no sense.
Since this is the internet, we’re asking you to name your favorite headlight design over the years. Impress us!
