Analysts Predict Indian Will Outsell Victory

According to Robin M. Farley, UBS Investment Research analyst, 2014 will see Indian Motorcycles outselling the other brand under Polaris' umbrella, Victory, powersportsbusiness reports.

In case Mr. Farley's predictions turn out to be true, Indian will push more than 15,000 units in 2014, which would be quite a success, given the disproportionate offer in terms of bike models between the two Polaris-owned brands.

Victory has a 15-strong model line-up, while Indian only offers 3 motorcycles. Of course, the two brands address rather different customers, and with the two shaking hands as far as sales are concerned, we might see some rougher times for the MoCo ahead.

Pushing hard with both brands, Polaris could finally start giving Harley-Davidson a hard day, which should increase competition in the cruiser market.

Farley also estimates that Polaris will also launch the Slingshot, their reverse trike with a GM 2.4L Ecotec engine, to start chewing at the cake KTM, Campagna and Can-Am are kind of enjoying all by themselves.
