For 2021, the British manufacturer is offering an updated version of its F-Pace SVR, which is quicker, more agile, and brings a wide range of new technological advancements to make it one of the most capable performance SUVs out there.
Jaguar has made a name for itself by building some sports cars that blend luxury and performance perfectly while delivering an exhilarating driving experience. Back in 2015, it introduced its first SUV, the F-Pace, which quickly became popular, winning several awards, including the 2017 World Car of the Year.

Among the available trim levels, the carmaker also released a performance-focused version called the SVR, which was praised by fans and critics alike for its handling and brute power.

For the new model year, this already excellent version gets many updates meant to polish any imperfections and make the F-Pace SVR even more desirable.

The 5.0-liter (305-cu in) Supercharged V8 engine still produces 542 hp (405 kW; 550 PS) but now delivers a peak torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), which is an increase of 20 Nm (14.75 lb-ft) over the previous model.

This performance enhancement enables the upgraded SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in 4 seconds, three-tenths of a second more quickly than before, and boosts its top speed by 3.2 kph (2 mph) to 286 kph (178 mph).

To withstand the higher loads it produces, the powertrain now features the same torque converter used in the record-breaking Jaguar XE SV Project 8 sedan. Apart from the increase in performance, Jaguar states that the innovative converter also improves the engine’s efficiency and reduces harmful CO2 emissions.

Using the new advanced Electronic Vehicle Architecture, dubbed EVA 2.0, the eight-speed ZF 8HP automatic transmission and dynamics systems have also been enhanced.

Jaguar SV’s engineers have recalibrated the software to provide sharper throttle response, increase suspension rigidity, improve steering responsiveness, as well as enhanced exhaust mapping.

A new Dynamic Launch feature uses driveline inertia to maintain peak torque during gear changes, which results in quicker acceleration from a standstill.

At the same time, the SUV is now more comfortable and enjoyable to drive at cruising speed without compromising its high-speed potential, further highlighting the vehicle’s versatility.

To deliver an improved connection between the driver and the vehicle, the F-Pace SVR is fitted with a new electronic power-assistance system calibrated to offer a distinct difference between Comfort and Dynamic modes.

The updated model is also fitted with a new integrated electric booster that replaces the old vacuum system and, along with a recalibration of the braking system’s software, delivers a sportier and shorter brake pedal travel.

On the exterior, the SUV features a redesigned motorsport-inspired aero kit that decreases lift by 35%. It also comes with all-new LED headlights with optional pixel LED technology and brand-new 22-inch forged aluminum wheels available in Gloss Black with Satin Grey inserts.

The interior was also comprehensively redesigned, gaining lightweight performance seats and door inserts finished in Alcantara, as well as elements wrapped in Windsor leather.

The 12.3-inch interactive display fitted behind the steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara with ebony stitching, while the standard aluminum patterned finishers can be replaced with optional open-pore carbon fiber.

At the heart of the revised interior is the new sporty center console, which incorporates an 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen, which is placed within an elegant magnesium alloy casing and provides access to the intuitive new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

It uses the latest dual-sim technology with two LTE modems that enable the system to carry out multiple tasks at the same time without compromising performance.

To conclude, the elegant and sporty 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR is an updated version of an already excellent SUV that perfectly blends luxury and performance.

It will be available in the first part of this year and is set to compete against the BMW X3M, Mercedes-AMG GLC 63, or Porsche Macan Turbo for the title of best compact performance SUV.
