You can't keep a car like the AMG GT bottled up for too long. The champagne corks are scheduled pop off next week, when the official reveal is to take place. However, the new sportscar can already be seen in these screenshots from Sony's DriverClub video game for the PlayStation4 console.
It's not a leak, just another attempt from Mercedes to promote itself and tease the AMG GT. First impressions? It looks a lot like the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo at the back, a car which was also made for a game.

The AMG GT also reminds us of something… Porsche. Considering both companies are from Stuttgart, this isn't really a surprise to some. Forget about the all-new 918 hybrid speed machine, the AMG GT is like a blast from the past, both taillights and bumper reminding us of the 928.

If you think you can just buy DriverClub and see the new Mercedes before the reveal, think again. This game won't be available until October 7th, after the Paris Motor Show. Other cool Mercs will also be available to drive, including the A45 AMG, CLA45 AMG, C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, SL65 AMG and the SLS AMG Coupe Black Series.

"The Mercedes-AMG GT is an outstanding sports car and we’re pleased to be able to offer it to gamers in DRIVECLUB before it rolls off the production line. It will be available as a free download within the first week of launch," says Paul Rustchynsky, Game Director at Evolution Studios.

"We're delighted that Mercedes-Benz is so strongly represented in Driver. This proves the brand's attraction and importance, because only the world's most exciting and prestigious sports cars are selected by the game developers,"
says Dr. Jens Thiemer, Head of Marketing Communication at Mercedes-Benz Cars.
