If you are a German industrialist with more money than you can spend on motorsport-inspired watches and cufflinks than we might have some good news for you, the AMG Driving Academy will be making exclusive use of SLS AMG GT3 vehicles for its most demanding MASTERS skill level program in 2011.

The module-based series is based on four stages: Experience, Warm-Up, Training and Competition. During the three-hour Experience stage, participants begin with a road version of the SLS AMG to benefit from some experienced driving guidance. After a seated “rehearsal” of what they must do, they have the wheel of the SLS AMG GT3 all to themselves, but are guided around the race track by a lead vehicle.

After this, the participants step into the passenger seat of a SLS AMG GT3 racing “taxi”, which is “chauffeured” by an experienced racing driver, to enjoy a few quick laps around the circuit, all of which is captured on video.

The Warm-up program comers theory-based introduction on braking, changing gear, overtaking and also a variety of other handling exercises. In stage three, Training, the focus is placed on one-on-one time with a personal trainer.

The star of the SLS AMG GT3 Driving Academy is the Competition stage, which is expected to start at the end of 2012, and will consist of individual and team competitions. Prices for the SLS AMG GT3 MASTERS events start at €1,500.

The racing version of the SLS was created as a customer sports car for sprints and long-distance racing according to the FIA GT3 rulebook. Its seat shell, which also features the HANS (Head and Neck Support) system, is protected by a high-strength carbon-fiber (CFRP) safety cell.
