AMG Driving Academy Starts Its Winter Program

By far, the most coveted driving events are those part of the AMG Driving Academy, which uses professional and sometimes even famous instructors from the world of motorsport to give advice on performance driving.

AMG Driving Academy events are held almost non-stop, throughout the year, but in the winter time there is an array of more specialized events which obviously feature lots and lot of snow.

In short, we are talking about professional driving instructors, AMG cars and an area where you can test everything from performance to drifting or safety driving in snowy and icy conditions. Not exactly a bad combination, right?

The AMG Winter Sporting events are held either in Austria, on the Lungauring snow circuit, or in Santa Claus' backyard – at the arctic circle – in Arjeplog.

• AMG Winter Sporting Basic is held in Austria and is a one and a half day event using either the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG or its CLA 45 AMG brother.

• AMG Winter Sporting Advanced is held in the Swedish Lapland and is a drift galore event that makes good use of rear-wheel driven AMGs with spiked tires.

• AMG Winter Sporting Pro is a four-day intensive course which will have you learn to handle snow and ice like you're a rally driver. OK, maybe not exactly like that, but it's la crème de la crème of the AMG Winter Sporting events.
