AMG may be busy working on the upcoming GT sports car, but that doesn’t mean their marketing teams doesn’t have time for a trick or two. For instance, they’ve just released a new ad, which takes us through their world of go-fast machines.
Under the bonnet. That’s where AMG was born, with the company’s late 60s roots seeing it handle racing engines. From their own, the engineers started spreading their magic all over cars with a Merc badge.
Nonetheless, it wasn’t until the mid 90s that AMG truly became one of Mercedes’ children. And it would take quite some years until they were allowed to develop their own street car, the SLS AMG.
This is now on its way out, set to be replaced by the aforementioned GT. Oh yes, in between the bits we mentioned above, AMG may have done one or two extra things and you’ll find these in the clip below. Aficionados should scroll down to the extended version.
