Updated from the ground up for the 2015 model year, the thirteenth generation of the Ford F-Series is the most capable, most comfortable, and most capable F-Series yet. The Super Duty follows in the footsteps of the F-150, and for 2018, the F-450 Limited breaks the norm with lots of luxury-infused goodies.
“Wait a second. So you’re telling me the Blue Oval made the F-450 nearly as luxurious as the Lincoln Continental?” Something like that, indeed, the reason why the Super Duty Limited retails from $87,100 including $1,295 destination but no taxes and other fees. Ticking every option box from the list equals $94,455. Add your state’s sales tax, and that’s how you get a $100,000 truck.

It has finally happened, ladies and gentlemen! One of the Big Three in Detroit finally broke the $100,000 mark, and for what it’s worth, you’re treated to quite a plush workhorse. “Super Duty Limited is the most luxurious and advanced heavy-duty pickup truck ever created by Ford for accomplished buyers, with appetites for the high life and hard-earned dollars to match,” explains Todd Eckert, the automaker's truck group marketing manager.

Also available in F-250 and F-350 forms ($80,835 and $82,010), the 2018 Ford Super Duty Limited comes exclusively with 4x4 and can be had with dual rear wheels. The question is, what’s the point of dropping so much money on what is, in essence, a workhorse with comfy leather and lots of toys?

“Imagine opening the door to your humidor and sinking into your favorite leather lounge chair – that’s the sensation new Super Duty Limited inspires,” comments Ford design manager Aileen Barraza. Considering that more than half of Super Duty sales in 2017 are high-end trim levels, it’s easy to understand why Ford brought the range-topping Limited to market.

For customers that don’t necessarily need a flagship premium sedan on stilts and with a bed, the F-250 XL is ready to work and adequately priced at $32,890. As ever, the Super Duty lineup can be had with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel, which offers a whopping 440 hp and 925 lb-ft.
